Shame on You

Shame on You

(audio of union members disrupting  the 10/16 SRC meeting)

You may have heard that charter schools are draining money from the School District of Philadelphia. Here’s what you need to know. Charter schools now educate one-third of all public school students in our city.  They do so while operating with less funding per student than the district receives, and the district has been unable to adjust its costs downward, despite the fact that so many parents are leaving.  So if there’s a money problem in public education funding in Philadelphia, don’t blame the charters. Giving parents a better option is nothing to be ashamed of.  I’m David Hardy for

If you believe Philadelphia parents should pick the school that’s best for their children, there’s finally a group that represents you.
